CAE online seminar on Epidemiological Modelling

At the beginning of December Dr. Frank Cuypers gave an interactive 1 hour online seminar on epidemiological modelling. He reviewed the traditional deterministic compartmental model and shortly contrasted them with stochastic and agent-based models. He then concentrated on the SIR differential equations, showing that they can successfully reproduce observed data.
More than 50 participants from about 15 different countries around the globe actively participated to this seminar, which was organized by the CAS Casualty Actuaries of Europe (CAE) at its Fall Event on December 4, 2020.
